Turn outdated interior timber into a contemporary feature these winter months

May 13, 2021 | News

As the winter months approach we begin to head into our homes to keep the winter chill away. 2020 forever changed the way we live our lives and forced many of us to finally turn our attention to the neglected interior timber projects requiring some much needed TLC. Australia is truly spoilt with sunny weather throughout the majority of the year allowing many of us to use our exterior decks for entertaining and enjoyment instead of being cooped up inside.

If there is one thing we learnt from 2020 aside from social distancing; is that we can no longer ignore the maintenance of interior timber. Covid enforced time spent indoors has highlighted many projects Australians generally put off, due to our love of outdoor living. We love timber at QTF and do not want recoating existing or coating new timber to be a chore, but a project of love and something to be proud of. We make it easy for you to turn outdated (and newly installed) panelling into a contemporary feature that you will love and be proud to show off!

TIMBRE PLUS Interior is environmentally responsible – made from bio based, ecologically sustainable products. It is non-toxic, low odour and low allergenic coating that is tough and produces a scuff resistant finish. Best of all it complies with the Green Building Council of Australia: Green Star – Office Design v3 & Office As Built, Table IEQ-13.1 Maximum TVOC Content Limits for Paints, Varnishes and Protective Coatings. Not only is TIMBRE PLUS Interior suitable for interior timber such as Cedar, Cypress, Oregon, Australian hardwoods and Pine lining boards, it is ideal for application to panelling, furniture, doors, joinery and other interior woodwork. This low sheen finish offers you a choice of clear (let the natural beauty of the timber shine through), transparent (provide colour whilst still allowing the grain to show through) or opaque (lend colour without concealing wood texture) colour finishes – offering over 70 potential colour choices.

Applying TIMBRE PLUS Interior is as simple as 1, 2, 3…

  • Ensure the surface is clean, dry and free from all dirt, dust, grease and grime.
  • For best results, flood-coat the timber to achieve maximum penetration on the first coat. Allow to dry.
  • Apply another 1-2 coats as required. (refer to Technical Datasheet and Label for further information).

Available in  four pack sizes including: 1L, 4L, 10L and 20L for your project convenience, you can now coat small or large projects with piece of mind and ease; and ensure that your drab timber turns into fab timber that will make you the envy of all who visit these winter months!
