Recognising the importance of reducing its environmental impact across its value chain, Woolworths has worked with Quantum Timber Finishes to ensure the timber finishes in its stores are environmentally sustainable and environmentally responsible.

Traditionally using oil based timber stains, Woolworths has now moved to water based timber stains within their stores to meets its commitment.

Quantum's MICROCLEAR coating tinted to Weathered Oak was chosen to coat the timber panels within Woolworths stores. MICROCLEAR is non toxic, low VOC and made from bio-based, ecologically sustainable products. Its fast drying time and ease of application made it perfect fit for the project, applicators can quickly and efficiently complete fit-outs, whilst using a low odour product that is more pleasant for the applicators and building occupants (during application) and also better for the environment (low VOC).
